The stubborn  heart

“Magic happens when you don’t give up ,even though you want to.

The univers always falls in love with a stubborn heart.”

It is not always easy to live a life with low vision. Sometimes it’s hard to cope,  especially  when you want to create and you realize the challenges you have to face.

I won’t give up, I will keep on trying, will create and enjoy life, thank you, my stubborn  heart.

Be like a Pineapple

Stand tall. Wear a crown. Stay sweet on the inside.

I have not written on my blog for a few weeks. These few weeks that passed was a challenging period of my life, a lot of things seemed to be going wrong.

I received the bad news about the change in my Godmother’s health and felt so useless for not being able to reverse the situation.

I fell sick for two weeks and when I returned back to work, our colleague and our friend of more than 42 years, had a heart attack at work and past away.

It filled me with sadness, to experience the heartache, sorrow, grief and uncertainty of what the future will hold for all of us.

I also had to examine my spiritual life. I realized that negativity is robbing me from being the person that God planned and created me to be. He knows my name, He knows my story, He formed me in my mother’s womb and He wants me to have a life of abundance.

I had to take control of my life and hold on to Him and trust His love and promises. He will see me through and eventually I will be able to see all that He has done.

I must be like a pineapple.
~I need to stand tall. I have to trust His promises.
~I must wear my crown. I must remember that I am a child of the King.
~I must be sweet from the inside. I can not allow negativity to destroy my life. I must always speak words that are sweet, pleasant and uplifting.

Without the rain there be no rainbow

This morning, when I busy getting into the car to come to work, a massive drop of rain fell on my head. I was still warm and comfortable after a a good night’s rest.  The water was freezing cold, ran over my warm skull and made my hair wet. As we drove off, my husband and myself were laughing about what just happened. Luckily I had my new umbrella, ready to protect me as soon as we arrived at work.

I think rain is as necessary to the mind as to vegetation. My very thoughts become thirsty, and crave the moisture.

Rain showers my spirit and waters my soul~Emily Logan Decens

We use umbrellas to protect us from the rain, from getting wet and and of being uncomfortable.

This reminds me of the scripture in  Ps 121v3…. He who watches over you won’t slumber.

Home, my happy place

20160717_174031

This past weekend my husband and myself were busy doing our weekly chores. Our dining room was filled with washing, documents and a wooden shelve, waiting patiently to find a perfect spot on a  wall.

Then the doorbell rang. How ironic, the time your house is looking like a war field,  unexpected quests arrive on your doorstep.

You have the choice, will you open the door and let them in, or rather ignore the bell and carry on with your work.

We decided to welcome our quests with open arms. For me, it was such a surprise, two of my school friends ,  from many moons ago, came to visit me. We had to catch up on so many stories, stories of our daily  living , of hurts, victories and future goals.

After they left we carried on with what we needed to do.  We packed away the washing, sorted out the filing and fitted the shelve on the wall. My heart was filled with thankfulness, with excitement and with love.

May my home always be the treasure chest of living and may I always remember the scripture~

Hebrews 13:2

Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.
