Today my colleague suggested that I make a page on my blog about my personal style.

If I have to describe my style, I would say, it’s more earthy, bohemian, colourful and a kind of, “makes me feel happy” style.

I am not a bling person at all.  I would rather wear flowers in my hair than diamonds around my neck.

I like to wear my clothes,  not my clothes wearing me.  That means that I need to feel comfortable with what I wear, be comfortable in my clothes, shoes and accessories.

About 5 years  ago, I decided to stop colouring my hair.  Back then Grey hair was not in fashion  at all. It is only now that it is a trend and in fashion.

The secret is, to have a good hairdresser, a good cut, life is too short to have boring hair.

I just love winter. It is time for comfort, to curl up, to keep warm, to enjoy good food and to spend quality time at home with friends and family.

So many people ask me where do I buy my clothes. I like to buy from secondhand shops. Some of my most favorite pieces are from vintage shops, clothes from the 70’s.  I buy in Thailand and also from my daughter @ https://m.facebook.com/Bohemealeen/

 

I don’t have any clothing accounts. Never have.  When I was a young working girl, so many of my friends admired my style and always use to mentioned that they’ve  never seen my clothes in shops.  The reason is, when you don’t have any accounts to pay monthly, you can buy from any shop. I would hate the idea of wearing clothes and after months still paying it off. When you buy cash,  you often get discount as well.

I am not a snob at all,one of my favorite places are Pep.  Often I find the most beautiful treasures, if the quality is good, the colour and style what I like, it is a deal and sometimes the best investments.

Today I am wearing my 70’s treasure that I bought many years ago from Pandora Box.  This blouse brings back so many memoires , bargain hunting with my girls, wearing it on dull days and worn it for my 2006 news paper interview.

 am only me. This is all I can be. No more, no less, can’t second guess. I love, I live, I laugh, I cry. Some days I’m funny, some days I’m not, some days I’m  moody and cant be stopped. You may not like me, but that’s okay, because this is me, and how I’ll stay.~soul sisters

Migraine,my wardrobe and me

This morning I woke up with a terrible migraine.This is part of my life,part of being visually impaired.This happens when my eyes get too tired,strained or exposed to too much of glare.

The first thing that I do on a day like today,is to go to my wordrobe and pick out my most colourful clothes! I feel that colour is the power which  uplift my soul and help me to cope with  the pain,the swollen eyes and the lack of appetite.

At the end ofnhe day I think of the quote ~ The ones who are crazy enough to think they can colour the world are the ones who do.
